John Medeski and Billy Martin started their historic musical partnership in 1989 when Martin 
invited Medeski to come to his Brooklyn loft studio and play duets. This session resulted in the 
formation of Medeski Martin and Wood in 1991. But, the two never forgot that initial two-hour 
jam session, and discussed making a duet record in the future.  That brilliantly groove-based 
record had its debut in April 2007 with Martin on drums and Medeski on Hammond B3 organ & Mago 
remains an open, creative avenue for these tasty improvisors to explore when MMW's schedule 
allows the time for it.  Don't miss this rare opportunity to catch these two on the high seas of 
Manhattan as they force the surrounding water to do their bidding!!
